About the show

Inspired by Puccini's La Bohème, RENT captures the joy and resilience of a generation determined to make every day count.

Thirty years ago, Jonathan Larson’s groundbreaking musical took Broadway by storm, earning the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and four Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. Following a year in the life of a group of young artists striving to create and survive in New York City’s East Village under the shadow of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Filled with electrifying rock anthems, heartbreaking ballads and lyrics that continue to inspire, RENT remains a powerful celebration of love, community and cherishing every minute.
