PERFORMANCE DATES:
November 12-22, 2026

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

The audition will consist of two parts. Please prepare a 1 to 2-minute contemporary musical theatre song. It can be sung with a backing track (we will provide a speaker), or without a track a capella. We will not be providing piano accompaniment. We may ask you to check your vocal range. We will also likely ask you to do a re-direct (ask you to perform part of the song with some acting changes). Please ensure that you focus on both the vocals and the acting in your piece.

In lieu of a monologue, we ask you to prepare an answer to ONE of the following questions. Your answer should not exceed a minute. We will ask you to share your response to us in the audition room, and we may ask follow up questions. Please be authentic! This isn’t a test. Do NOT use AI or ChatGPT for the answer to your question:

1) How would you portray the relationship of either Dan, Natalie, Dr. Fine, Dr. Madden, Henry or Gabe with Diana? What makes this relationship critical to understanding her experience?

2) Diana needs to be portrayed carefully and respectfully given the mad community and those living with mental health experiences. What makes Diana's experience interesting to you and how would you honour her experience in your portrayal?

3) This show asks cast members to support one another through emotionally intense scenes. What does that kind of care look like to you in a rehearsal space?

If this is your first time auditioning for a show, please note that it is absolutely okay to say so. We are happy you are here!
